Secondary Education in Canada: Elementary, Middle and High Schools

From Grade 1 to Grade 12.

A Canadian high school diploma opens the doors to the best universities in the world. Give your child this opportunity.

With CanStart Group you can

  • Apply to public school boards or private schools in Canada.
  • Choose a school with tuition that suits your budget (from $10,000 CAD per year at the time of writing).
  • Arrange an experienced and caring custodian for your child, or accompany your child to Canada.

A Canadian high school diploma allows you to

  • Enter universities in Canada, the USA and England without additional tests, such as the SAT.
  • Avoid a Foundation Year at most top universities in Canada, the USA and England. A foundation year is valid only for the university the student applies to (and often only for one program), whereas a Canadian high school diploma is accepted by universities everywhere.
  • Be considered for admission to Canadian universities under the criteria for domestic students.
  • Apply for scholarships open to Canadian students (there are far fewer scholarships for international students). In some cases, scholarships can cover a significant part of tuition fees and living expenses.

Immigration advice is provided separately by a licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) at immigration.korpalo.ca. For custodianship of minor students in Canada, see custodianship.ca.
